# NoteSeer

## Improvise. As you feel it.

NoteSeer is a hidden companion, blending the infinite balance of mathematics and the flawless intuition of probabilities with your own aesthetic.

### Candidates

With Scale on, only notes in the selected scale are candidates. With it off, all twelve pitch classes are available and the key is inferred from your playing.

### Expectation

Maestro, Focus, Muse and Motif prepare the probabilities of the next note from what you have played.

### Decision

At the moment of touch, expectation and proximity are considered together.

### Gravity

Gives priority to notes close to your touch.

### Maestro

Draws on melodies it has learned to predict the next note.

### Focus

Favors the examples closest to what you play.

### Muse

Learns as you play. Shapes note choices around your current session.

### Motif

Recognizes recurring note patterns. Remembers what came next.

### Scale

Turn it on when you know the scale: only its notes become candidates. Turn it off to explore: NoteSeer infers the key from your playing. Your memory stays intact.

### Clear memory

Clear the memory when moving to a new piece or a new mood. Import a melody from a MIDI file, or export what you have played.

### In

MIDI messages from your instrument: notes, velocity, bend and other controls.

### Decide

Scale defines the candidates. Maestro, Focus, Muse and Motif prepare the expectation. Gravity weighs proximity.

### Out

Only the note number changes when needed. Bend and other MIDI messages pass unchanged. Chords starting together within 8 ms pass unchanged.

## Playing guide

Choose your scale. Touch the surface and glide.

### Connect with MIDI

Choose your MIDI input and output. NoteSeer changes the note number when needed. Pitch bend and other MIDI messages pass through unchanged.

### Move your memory

Import a melody from a MIDI file and add its last 128 notes to memory. Export that memory as MIDI whenever you like. Exported notes have equal lengths at 120 BPM; performance timing is not recorded.

## Support & FAQ

team@beyondend.dev

### No sound?

Turn on Sound, check your device volume and touch the playing surface.

### Can’t see your MIDI device?

Open the demo in a browser that supports Web MIDI. Allow device access when choosing an input or output. Support varies by browser and device.

### Does switching language clear memory?

No. Your playing history stays with you when you switch languages. Reloading the page or leaving the demo ends the session.

### Is my MIDI file sent to a server?

No. Your file is processed in your browser. It is not sent to a server.

## Data handling

See what data the demo uses and how it is handled. This explanation is not a privacy policy or terms of use.

### Browser processing

Note selection and MIDI file processing happen in your browser. The demo has no accounts, payments or analytics, and does not upload your files.

### Language preference

Your language choice is saved in your browser for your next visit.

### Network requests

Site files load from the hosting server and demo fonts from Google Fonts. If you select a MIDI output, the MIDI stream is sent to that device, with note numbers changed when needed.
